Meet Our Keynote Speaker - President Olivier Charles

Future Leaders Working is proud to announce that Olivier Charles, President of Bishop State Community College, will serve as the Keynote Speaker for the Future Leaders Working Academy 2.0 Graduation on May 23, 2026.

Since assuming leadership of Bishop State in 2022, President Charles has helped transform the institution into the fastest growing community college in Alabama and one of the nation’s emerging leaders in technical education and workforce development. Under his leadership, the college has doubled enrollment in less than three years, strengthened student retention and completion rates, improved financial stability, and expanded opportunities for student and employee success.

President Charles is widely recognized for his commitment to community engagement and strategic partnerships. His belief that collaboration between educational institutions, industry leaders, and community organizations is essential to economic growth closely aligns with the mission of Future Leaders Working.

As Future Leaders Working Academy 2.0 graduates prepare to celebrate the completion of an intensive workforce development program, President Charles’ presence represents the importance of investing in people, creating pathways to opportunity, and strengthening the future of our community through education and workforce readiness.

The graduation ceremony will celebrate the accomplishments of young parents and emerging workforce leaders who have demonstrated resilience, determination, and commitment to building better futures for themselves and their families.
