About Us

Future Leaders Working (F.L.W.) is a nonprofit organization that identifies, supports, and develops young parents in Mobile County and the City of Mobile. F.L.W. was formed in 2022 when there was a need recognized for a dedicated program assisting young parents in transitioning into administrative professionals in the workforce. F.L.W. members are committed to creating opportunities for our young parents by providing training, mentoring, and networking opportunities.

Our Mission

Our mission is to mentor low to moderate-income young parents to overcome unemployment, poverty, and the outcomes thereof.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create an environment that empowers young parents through education, mentoring, networking, and employment.

Our Purpose

We aim to work with 12 parents during their parental decision-making journey

(ages 18 to 30), exemplify the power of community, and encourage them to live up to their most significant potential.

Meet Our Board of Directors

Say, "Hello," to our Executive Director

Tiffany Harris-James acquired her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in September 2020 from the University of Phoenix with a major in Business Management and a concentration in Human Resource Management. She is a veteran who served this country in the United States Army on Active Duty and in the U.S. Naval-Reserved Forces. Originally from Mobile, Alabama, her journey has taken her abroad to Europe in countries like Bulgaria. She was a teenage parent who understood firsthand the importance of workforce development and mentorship. We believe Tiffany has the ability, intestinal fortitude, vision, and compassion to serve young parents in the City of Mobile and Mobile County.
